Vintage Christmas ornaments

vintage christmasDoes these christmas trees speak to you? For me is a total flash back to my childhood!! The truth is that we didn’t have all these delicate ornaments but colorful, shinny balls made of glass were a must! And I remember that these balls were easy to break into many pieces…that’s why they were easy replaced with plastic I suppose.

I’m so happy just by seeing the pictures. So nostalgic! I would love to decorate my home with all of these even if it wasn’t Christmas! Shinny, multicolored, flirting with kitsch just a bit, precious and startling ornaments for your Christmas tree or not only! You can put them in a jar or platter, or hang them through a garland and decorate a wall. It will make your home so festive!!

Motel vintage signs

vintage motel signs_my blue flamingo

These days I’m working on a project with midcentury style. I must admit that I’m enjoying it! It’s like an imaginary trip in time of 60’s that I really like. So, as I was searching for inspiration I was constantly bumping into motel signs! For me this is the absolut vintage image, 60’s modern or kitsch as it gets, neon all over, eye-catching for the travellers! One of my dreamy roadtrip has stops in motels like these!vintage motel signs_my blue flamingovintage motel signs_my blue flamingo vintage motel signs_my blue flamingo vintage motel signs_my blue flamingo vintage motel signs_my blue flamingo vintage motel signs_my blue flamingo vintage motel signs_my blue flamingo

Kitsch in decoration!

Amazing or what? A must have for the perfect kitsch style

Amazing or what? A must have for the perfect kitsch style

I must admit my sinful taste. I love kitsch!! Pattern over pattern, colour over colour, hot pink, orange, yellow, all together! Maybe because I like colourful spaces, maybe I like the hymour that exist in kitsch style, maybe it is that vintage is so close to it and I love vintage, I don’t know…but kitsch is great!!! I had so much fun searching for these photos (I saved a bunch of links with stuff to buy for my home! Maybe I will post some of them in another post) I hope you’ll have too. Enjoy these happy places!
