Weekend!

Good morning there! How do you feel this summer weekend? I must say I’m in a holiday mood without being on holidays! This is what happens to you if you have no work to do for some days, you live in Greece and it’s summer I suppose… At the same time I’m so disappointed by what happens in my country lately that I have an escaping tendency. So, what more suitable than a road trip or a short trip in general! I like some photographs from trains, I think it feels very adventurous, even though I don’t like traveling by train so much, that’s why I chose this picture for this weekend. Some sense of freedom is needed!
I’ll try to go on a distant and magical beach this weekend, I seriously need some tanning also! What are your plans?

As the theme for this weekend is Roadtrip I have for you some links from the past:
Let’s go for a roadtrip and
Motel vintage signs
Even though you won’t go anywhere some mind traveling never hurt anyone!

And for the crafty ones I have a DIY project to display your holiday photos: Super summery and juicy Fruit Magnets for your fridge! Have a nice weekend!!!

Motel vintage signs

These days I’m working on a project with midcentury style. I must admit that I’m enjoying it! It’s like an imaginary trip in time of 60’s that I really like. So, as I was searching for inspiration I was constantly bumping into motel signs! For me this is the absolut vintage image, 60’s modern or kitsch as it gets, neon all over, eye-catching for the travellers! One of my dreamy roadtrip has stops in motels like these!vintage motel signs_my blue flamingovintage motel signs_my blue flamingo vintage motel signs_my blue flamingo vintage motel signs_my blue flamingo vintage motel signs_my blue flamingo vintage motel signs_my blue flamingo vintage motel signs_my blue flamingo

Easter time

daisies-myblueflamingo

These days of Easter I was in holidays in Peloponnese. The place where I come from is in Arcadia, centre of Peloponnese, in the mountains. The mountains should be mentioned again because it was so cold!!! We almost had Christmas instead of Easter… The first day it was snowing but thankfully the other days had decent weather to go around.

The first day we went in ancient Olympia where the archeological site of ancient olympic games took place. It was magnificent and very inspiring. The site has 3 sections: the stadium, the sanctuary and the facilities for athletes and travelers. All of these ruins are in an enchanting environment, as you can see in the photos below.

Another day we were fearless and went to explore an abandoned old hospital near our village. It has the rumour that is occupied by ghosts and people are very afraid of it! To tell you the truth, after my visit there I understood why they believe something like that! Apart from that it is a beautiful building, in the mountains, which could be renovated and be something great. If the ghosts allow that…

Unfortunately I didn’t have my camera with me and I couldn’t take very nice photos but I think I succeded to transfer the atmosphere there and some of our activities! Except food, which was one of the main activities…but I can’t even watch food right now!

Boho, Gypsy, Hippie!

roadtrip go!

Today I found a treasure! As I was looking for roadtrip photos, to travel with my mind, I got lost into gypsy paths and I found these amazing trailers!! I wish I could travel far far away with one of these! Or have it in my yard and drink cold lemonade in the summer. That would do as well. For the end, in the last picture, I have for you an etsy shop that has some furniture to give a little of boho style to your home.

I know, escaping isn’t a solution but I can always dream about it… If only I could leave for an adventure, vacations etc..and never come back! Until then, I have my imagination…
